  1. Ellu Urundai (Sesame Laddoo)
  • Raw Materials:
    • Sesame seeds – 1 cup
    • Jaggery – ¾ cup
    • Water – ¼ cup
    • Yogiram Naturals Sesame Oil – 1 tsp (for greasing)
  • Processing Method:
    • Dry roast sesame seeds on low heat until they become golden and fragrant. Set aside to cool.
    • Prepare jaggery syrup by melting jaggery in water and boiling until it reaches a sticky consistency (soft ball stage).
    • Mix roasted sesame seeds into the syrup.
  • Cooking Method:
    • Grease hands with a little Yogiram Naturals Sesame Oil and shape the mixture into round laddoos while it’s still warm.
  • Time: Preparation – 10 minutes, Cooking – 20 minutes
  • Cultural Relevance: Ellu Urundai is a traditional sweet enjoyed during Diwali, symbolizing prosperity. Sesame seeds are known for their warmth and are often consumed during the festive season.
